Lutheran worship puts the focus squarely on Jesus Christ, who is present, for us and with us, through His Word and Sacraments. Lutheran worship is Christ-centered, not man-centered. Lutheran worship is not about abstract concepts or principles for living. It isn't about amusement or entertainment. Lutheran worship is about Christ, who is living and active among us with His Word and Sacraments to forgive sin and give eternal life. It is the Lord who serves us first with His gifts of forgiveness and we humbly receive them. In response, together we offer our thanks and praise to God and go out into the world to show His love to others.
